Who I am. Family Ready Coach ("FRC," "I," "me") provides information‑only emergency readiness coaching for city households, aligned with publicly available guidance (e.g., FEMA/NOAA/USGS). I do not provide medical, legal, structural, financial, or emergency response services.

Eligibility. You must be 18+ to book; a parent/guardian must participate for minors.

Services. Coaching sessions, checklists, scorecards, templates, and light accountability. I may suggest third‑party products/resources; these are optional and provided "as‑is."

Client responsibilities. You are responsible for (a) decisions you make, (b) purchases you choose to make, (c) following official alerts and orders, and (d) maintaining your own safety.

No emergencies. FRC is not a crisis line and does not monitor hazards. In an emergency call 911 or your local authorities.

Scheduling & communication. Sessions occur via [Zoom/Meet/Phone/On‑site]. I communicate by email/text for reminders and follow‑ups. Please keep contact details current.

Fees & payment. Fees are displayed at booking. Payment is due at booking unless otherwise stated. Late/failed payments may pause service.

Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling. See the Refund/Cancellation Policy below; it is incorporated into these Terms.

Results. I do not guarantee specific outcomes. Client examples reflect individual experiences.

Use of materials. Templates and checklists are licensed for your personal household use. Do not resell or publish without permission.

Testimonials & photos. With your express written consent, I may use anonymized quotes, scores, and kit photos for marketing. Consent can be withdrawn by email at any time; removal will occur on a go‑forward basis.

Privacy. See my Privacy Notice below. By using my services you agree to the collection and use of information as described there.

Prohibited conduct. No unlawful use; no attempts to obtain weapons, restricted items, or hazardous materials through me.

Warranties & liability. Services are provided "as‑is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, FRC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. My aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to FRC in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold FRC harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the services or violation of these Terms.

Governing law & disputes. Governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of laws. Venue and exclusive jurisdiction in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE]. Before filing, parties agree to attempt good‑faith resolution within 30 days of written notice. [Optional: binding arbitration clause — insert if desired after attorney review.]

Changes. I may update Terms by posting the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Applies to: Quick‑Start (single session) and VIP (multi‑session) packages.

Rescheduling. 24+ hours' notice: free move. <24 hours: $25 change fee (waived once per client).

Cancellations (client‑initiated).

  • Within 24 hours of purchase (cooling‑off): 100% refund if no session occurred.
  • >24 hours before first session: 100% refund minus 3% payment processing.
  • <24 hours before first session or no‑show: refund minus $75 late/no‑show fee (or 1 session deducted), at FRC's discretion.
  • VIP packages (after first session): pro‑rated refund for unused sessions at list price minus a $45 admin fee.

Cancellations (FRC‑initiated). If I cancel and cannot reschedule within 10 business days, you may elect a full pro‑rated refund for unrendered services.

Satisfaction window. Tell me within 7 days of your first session if the service was not as described; I'll either (a) re‑deliver the session at no cost or (b) offer a pro‑rated refund at my discretion.

How to request. Email [BILLING@] from your booking email with subject "Refund request," include order # and reason. Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after approval.

Family Ready Coach provides information‑only emergency readiness coaching aligned with public guidance (e.g., FEMA/NOAA/USGS). I do not provide medical, legal, structural/engineering, financial, or emergency response advice. Always follow official alerts and orders from authorities. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Professional & Safety Boundaries

What I do: coaching on household readiness, checklists, communications planning, drills, city‑apartment constraints, and vendor‑neutral product selection.

What I don't do:

  • Diagnose, treat, or prescribe; build/modify structures; conduct home inspections; install gas/electrical; provide security or surveillance advice; or give firearms/weapons guidance.
  • Provide emergency dispatch, 24/7 monitoring, or real‑time hazard alerts.
  • Handle dangerous substances or procure restricted items.
  • Publish identifying client information or images of children; I anonymize results and blur/remove faces/addresses in any photo.

Photos & testimonials. Always captured with written consent; consent may be revoked for future use.

Privacy Notice

What I collect. Name, contact info, household size/age ranges (not full DOBs), city/neighborhood, readiness goals, non‑sensitive kit inventories, session notes, and (optional) photos/testimonials/score changes. Website data: basic analytics and cookies (see "Cookies"). Payment data is processed by my payment processor; I do not store full card numbers.

Why I collect. To deliver coaching, schedule sessions, track progress, improve services, and—with consent—share anonymized results.

Legal bases (GDPR if applicable). Contract (to provide services), Legitimate Interests (service improvement & security), Consent (marketing, testimonials, photos), Legal Obligation (records/receipts).

Sharing. Service providers such as: scheduling (e.g., Calendly), video (e.g., Zoom), payments (e.g., Stripe), email/CRM (e.g., MailerLite). I require processors to protect your data and use it only for my instructions.

Retention. Client records retained for up to 24 months after last activity, unless law requires longer or you request deletion (see Rights). Backups may persist for ~30 days.

Security. I use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; no method is 100% secure.

Your rights. Access, correct, delete, or export your data; withdraw consent (marketing/photos); object/restrict processing where applicable. Contact me to exercise rights. California, EU/UK, and other local rights may provide additional protections.

Children. I do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. A parent/guardian must be present in sessions.
